Kristen, my heartfelt sympathy to you and Jim. You made the hardest
decision in the world in doing the best for little Luci. I'm glad she was
surrounded by so much love. Thanks for being there for her.
Kerry

Subject: Luci
I wanted to say thanks for all your input and support. Jim
and I took Luci to another vet yesterday. The vet was patient and listened
to all we had to say. She did a thorough blood work, x-rays, and listened
to her heart. The x-rays showed a cancer thru her lungs and surrounding
her heart. Luci had turned anemic and when drawing blood, the blood did
not clot. Her bilirubin count was extremely elevated and her white
cell count was very low. The cancer had spread to her liver and probably
elsewhere. We felt there was nothing that could save her and so did the
vet. Her breathing was heavy and due to the cancerous lump, her trachea
had been pushed up against her back so she could not get the food down.
The vet could have extracted some of the fluid around the lungs and heart but we
did not want to see Luci in anymore pain. The decision to put Luci down
was e! xtremely difficult. I miss her so much.
Thank you for all your support and stay strong with all your
children.
Thank you,
Kristen and Jim
