Tell you friend there is a terrific web site at www.felinediabetes.com. There is a support groups, quite large and very active, but you post to a message board rather than a group like this. But there is a lot of information there.
Corky was diabetic for 8 years, and did very well until other problems surfaced. I still have his brother, Nads, also diabetic, but a happy & healthy little man!
