What a great idea about the towel... I wouldn't have thought of it until the poor cat jumped!!!!

I love them and have used them for over 15yrs. To save your back put the unit on top of a small chest of draws or a night stand. This way, if sitting in a chair, the bottom opening is right in front of you. When you are standing up the top door will be right in front of your face. When the unit is not in use I leave the bottom door down so if one of my cats want in it they just jump in. WARNING... If the bottom door is shut cover it with a towel. This is very important as a cat looking at it can not tell it is closed and when trying to jump into it will smash its face into the closed door
