In answer to questions: We really don't know when Killian contracted felv! My husband found her as a stray and pregnant before she was even 1. He is not sure if she has ever been tested for felv. She did have regular vet visits, so who knows. My vet thinks she may have had it all of her life. Supposedly it is more difficult for adult cats to contract felv. We did have a felv kitty in our home for 3 days in the spring but it was isolated from Killian. Then in June is when we found out that Killian has felv. I was shocked! She has been such a healthy kitty....doesn't even get colds. She has always been an indoor cat.
