You ask the same questions that I wanted to ask the
vet...I had 2 kittens a year ago, FeLV+ that had frequnt diarrhea and I
had medicine for it....It never slowed them down but sadly the passed
at about 1 year but they didn't seem to give it to the other cats
around them...I would like to know why the vet thought this one had to
be PTS dis it have a fever ???.....why ??? I got several comments about I was a saint to take them but I would much rather have had answers to a few questions.....Anyway we went to my vet today and did tests and etc and think we know where we are at now.... Tad [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Dear Tad... Just a guess, but it may refer to Feline Leukemia Test.It is a shame the vet euthanized the other kitten...diarrhea is not necessarily a sign that the FeLV virus is running rampant. Did he have any other clinical signs? Who brought the kittens to that vet...did they leave it in his hands to decide if any or all of them should be euthanized and when? It always hurts when a + furbaby is not even given a chance, especially when you had indicated you would were willing to do so. May his sweet baby soul now rest in peace with all our others on the other side. Bless you for giving the other two + furkids a chance. We'll all be rooting for them, and for you. as well as the others you've been caring for and hoping they can beat the odds stacked against them. Sally in San Jose |
