I wish he were too!  Sadly, he passed away a couple years ago.  I sure would miss him if he'd been MY vet.  And it's actually much cheaper for vets to practice that way - the overhead is eliminated.  There are also advantages to clinics, obviously, but for basic maintenance I think it's a splendid idea.  It's one of my favorite books and I re-read it a couple times a year:)  Absolutely fascinating stuff!
