Title: Message

Hi all

This is a Q on behalf of a young woman, Christina, that I ran into at my vet clinic.

I said I would check it out with you wonderful people and get back to her.

She took in a pregnant momcat. The momcat gave birth to two kittens. The momcat tested Felv neg. One kitten has been adopted out; the other kitten has been confined to Christina's home since birth, with no contact with any other cat. Vet says she still should have it tested for FeLV. Like most of us, she's on a limited budget: is the vet right? Is there still some chance, given the above, that the kitten could have FeLV?

Thanks v. much! Kerry
