I posted those particular references because the issue at hand was
subgroups.  Those particular studies have never been refuted and still
considered difinitive today as they still apply.

Newer findings in different areas of FeLV research have been made and new
vacccinations guidelines and treatments have been modeled on the basis of
those findings.

The bulk of the research money seems to be going towards FIV research since
the FIV is much closer to the human AIDS virus than FeLV.
