Dear Macarena,
I am so sorry; my heart goes out to you. It surely does sound as though the end was mercifully quick. She was so fortunate to have you to love and care for her, and at least her last day was spent having fun.
I will keep you both in my thoughts and I will light a candle for her tonight; I know she is smiling down on you, until you meet again.
Love, Julie

Belinda, could you please add Orieta to the next CLS. She was a kind and
lovely calico stray I had been feeding for 2 years in an abandoned house
a block away from my house. She was pretty lonely, had at least 2
litters, and I had everything arranged for trapping and spaying her at
the beginning of January. She enjoyed my company and came running when
she heard the engine of my car every night. I found her on my way to
feed her last night, her face completely destroyed and her little body
flat over
the pavement. It was quick, she probably didn't feel anything. A
building major accross the street helped me getting her into a bag and
told me she spent all the afternoon playing with a bunch of kids from
the building, she was so friendly!! I still can't believe it, I am a
little bit on shock.
I took her to be buried by a kind man who has a ! huge garden, just next
door to her feeding spot, and who fed her whenever i was away for some
time. At least I found her and she didn't end in a garbage truck.
I will miss her...every night.
thanks for being there
macarena
