Dear friends,
It is with great honor and pleasure to announce that we have a wonderful feline veterinarian who has offered to help with questions of the medical sort for our list.  Dr. Susan Little is a specialist in feline veterinary practice, a much published author, a respected lecturer, a board member of the Winn Feline Foundation, and a champion for feral and stray cats.  Dr. Susan, as she is affectionately known on another list, is dedicated, very caring, patient and so generous with her time.  I have gotten to know of her on another list where she also offers her expertise on medical subjects.  This list has taught me a lot and most of it is due to Dr. Susan's help with questions.

She often travels for lectu! ring and has two very busy practices so she wanted us all to know that she will not always be able to answer questions right away.  I know she will get back to you, from experience with her kindness and caring.

Since it would be difficult for her to read all of the posts on our high volume list, she and James and I decided it would work best if someone had a question, then they could  post it to the list, and I will forward the question to her and also forward her reply back to the list.  It would help me if you could specify that you have a question for Dr. Little in your subject line, so I will be sure to read and forward those posts first.

Here are some of Dr. Little's credentials (taken from her website) and a link to her website:  (I hope you can read the grey print on white, I can't seem to change the color of the text for easier reading). By the way, her website is very nice.  I love her cats!!   :-)

Dr. Little received her BSc from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, Canada and her DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. She has been in feline practice for over 10 years and achieved specialty board certification in 1997. She is now part owner of two feline specialty practices in Ottawa, Canada. Her main areas of interest are cattery medicine, feline reproduction and management of stray and feral cat populations.

Dr. Little bred and exhibited pedigreed cats in Canada and the United States for 15 years. She currently sits on the Health Committee of the Cat Fanciers' Association, the world's largest pedigreed cat registry, and sits on the board of the Winn Feline Foundation . She also works with a group of volunteers on a trap/test/vaccinate/release program for feral cats in the Ottawa area. She writes and lectures extensively on pedigreed cat health issues for the public as well as for veterinarians and breeders.

Here is pasted from her original reply to my email:

"And you are always welcome to forward specific posts to me privately if I can help. I travel a lot, so I hesitate to promise that I'd have a regular presence, but I will do what I can.
