do not seem to bother her, and her behavior and eating are normal (thank god).

Its possible she is having allergy problems....I would ask the vet...I know Chlortrimitron..an OTC allergy medicine is fine for cats..but not exactly sure of the dose...it may help...if you could get a dose from the vet..
