Zest passed away at the Marley Fund House early Tuesday morning (December 14). She was one of my litter of five FeLV positives. She had a heart murmur that developed after her spay surgery. She passed away in her sleep without warning and without suffering.   She was my zesty little pickle and I miss her. She was my dog Sol's special little friend, and I know he was sad to see her go. For those of you who follow my blog, Zest was the kitten with the blue collar.   This has hit me harder than I expected it to. Maybe if she had gotten sick, I would have been more prepared. I am glad she passed without the lingering illness that is so characteristic of this disease.
