Thanks Sally! I will definitely look for Oli-vet (in
addition to the CoQ10 and L-Lysine she's getting).

I haven't been over to see Gary in a few days. My
boyfriend says she's doing okay, she's still eating as
much as normal and he's been putting some Nutri-Cal in
her food too (in case she does slow down her eating
because of congestion, we want her to be as fat as
possible while she's fighting it off).

He said he's been able to look in her nose and it
looks okay. Still not a lot of runny nose action and
her eyes seem to be okay. He says she is mouth
breathing a little but if he holds her mouth closed
lightly she WILL breathe through her nose so we figure
she's just a little congested and it's easier to
breathe through her mouth. Her activity level is the
same (good!)

So our thoughts are that since we didn't know she was
positive the first time she had a URI and she wasn't
on any supplements AND was a little underweight (she's
adult but TINY so it's hard to tell how much she
should weigh - she seems to top out at 6.5 pounds)
that what is happening is that she is just dealing
with this second URI better now than she was able to
before. If this is an indication of her virus
fighting abilities on supplements then I am very
happy! <knock wood> this will work for a while! I
think her "low stress" personality and the fact that
she is an only cat definitely helps.

We are going to use the humidifier for a couple days
this weekend just to help her out a bit so she doesn't
have to mouth breathe.

Jill
