Just follow his lead. He knows what he needs now, and its up to him to figure out how to ...complete the process. IF he gets stuck, and panics...(like my dog did)...he'll let you know that too (there will be NO questioning then...nothing is so absolute) and then you can HELP him to go.

Yes, that was my question too, about whether death is actually near or not. I
stopped syringing him day before yesterday thinking death was near, then he
ate a little yesterday morning, then looked weaker again and I thought he would
be gone by today. When he was exactly the same this morning I syringed him a

and feels weaker or more nauseous without food. But he hated it and it seemed

and pepcid still, for nausea control, and am thinking of giving them to him with
a bit of nutrical, which is how I sometimes give pills, and get a little
nourishiment in him that way. he absolutely will not eat from my hand or a ! spoon
or lick gravy, I tried everything under the sun this morning. I guess my
dilemma is not knowing how close to death he actually is. I suppose not eating
will probably bring death sooner, and perhaps that is not the worst thing.
