That is the reason I chose to do rescue and it has become a business along with my Animal Transports. I will be finishing off courses in Animal Cruelty and Investigations soon.
I will help others in need. I do have shelters and societies contact me though when they do get full or if an animal has been there too long.
Mostly I deal with Siameses or Siameses mixes and Collies. I love all animals in general. I would have a buttload of animals if I didn't keep my areas of specialty confined to the breeds I mentioned above.
So I guess what I'm saying it is all over and takes people like you guys to help out the innocents victims such as the animals.
It will continue to do so until you get the support to shut them down or at least get rid of the management and staff to start all over again.

I agree bravo to you, I also do not like the way my humane society is run, they are a no kill shelter, but they do not take care of the animals that well either, it always stink and there is not much air movement in the area where the cats are kept. I have donated time and money to them I just could not do it anymore, I did not have the heart. Four of kittes were adopted three from that shelter....well actually my mom took two into foster care, and the kitten were not even 6 weeks and so deathly ill, she got them all healthy and happy, then at 9weeks the shelter wanted the kitten back to "fix" them. My mom thought they were too young so she kept them.
