Simon, you and your partner are always in my thoughts, I hope for the best, maybe he is just having a bad day, and tomorrow or later today things will look up, you guys are in my prayers.

This morning Simon got up and asked for food, but did not eat very much and
needed encouragement to eat what he did eat (about 4 bites of wet food, 4
little pieces of dry food, and about 1/3 bowl of liver shake. He is not purring or
wanting belly rubs, and actually got up and left when I tried to pet him. He
licked stone and some ash by the fireplace this morning, which I think is
pica from his anemia (strange cravings for things like stone and dirt). His nose
is a little runny, but no more sneezing. I gave him a shot of depomedrol (his
last one was over a week ago and the oncologist said I could give another), a
doxicycline, and a pepcid. I had promised him I would not force things down
his throat anymore, so I feel bad. While he did not fight me with the two
pills, he did not seem happy either. He is sleeping more, and does not want to
cuddle with anyone but our dog Fern (he really snuggles up to her though, and
buries his face in her fur-- it's so cute).

He got CCNU on Thursday afternoon, so less than 2 days ago. The vet tech who
administered the pill to him told me they never see side effects with CCNU,
though the oncologist did not say that. I am worried that he has reached his
peak of feeling better and is declining again. Gray thinks I panic too easily
and change course and thought I should have waited with the steroids and
antibiotics.

I promise to try to post pictures of him soon. Please let me know if you
have any thoughts, and please send him good energy an prayers.

Thanks,
Michelle
