As I wrote earlier, Simon has not felt so well today-- less appetite, though
he ate some, much more tired, less purry. Then tonight he threw up everything
he ate, about 2 hours later. it is the first time he has thrown up his food
since getting cancer. I looked up CCNU online and one thing said it can cause
vomiting and the other said it does not. The vet tech who administered it
said it doesn't. Someone on the lymphoma list serv said her cat got some nausea
about 2 weeks afterwards. Simon just got it two days ago. I am starting to
regret doing the chemo, though of course this could be the cancer rather than
the chemo. I would like to give him another dexamethasone shot, which is what
rescued him last weekend, but do not have anymoe and tomorrow is Sunday and I
really do not want to bring him to the emergency vet. After throwing up he
hyperventilated for a while and I thought he was dying, because it was so extreme
and looked like end stage respiratory distress, but he caught his breath
after a minute or two, and then a few minutes later purred when I pet him and
climbed into his cat bed. I had given him doxicycline this morning, with food,
but am stopping it tonight because it can make his nausea worse. I had given him
Pepcid twice today, for the first time in a week, but no reglan. I may give
reglan in the morning but am not sure-- he was doing so well without it, but
that was before the CCNU.
Any thoughts, or prayers, would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michelle
