I think that when their PCV's dropped, they became more susceptible to URI's.  I don't think they needed antibiotics because their PCV dropped, I think they got a runny nose from something in the room that wasn't affecting everyone else because their immune system wasn't functioning much anymore when their PCV's dropped.  I gave them antibiotics as a precaution - and in the hopes we could get them better.  They also hung out in the bath tub a lot during the week or so before they got bad off - I suspect they did that because they may have been running a fever - or they just wanted a quiet place to be alone.  With them, when their PCV dropped into the low teens, they were too weak to move much.
