The new kitten may NOT be felv +. It can depend on how long they were loose and who they came into contact with. I rescued two, littermates from a park last year...one was felv+ one was neg. I believe the positive one had been bitten by another cat in the park....at one point before I could catch him, he had a samll bite mark on his ear at one point.
