listen to your heart--i think that the cats who come to us CHOOSE us,
because they need things that only we can give them to complete their
journeys on this plane. i'd always wanted a flame-point himmie, and i
had the chance to adopt two, and everything was arranged--but it just
didn't feel right. by not taking them, the universe gave me my little
flamepoint baby a year or so later, an FIV that no one else wanted...

Some
members of my family are horrified. I have become what many women fear,
over 40, never married with 9 cats. I love it. I am happy as a clam.
Life
is good.
I do have the space for them. I have 10 acres but all of the kitties
spend
as much time as they want in the house. No one is positive yet. If one
should go positive, they will be restricted to inside.
The funny thing is that I can't really say that 9 is too many. It is
all I
can afford and won't be getting any more but I can't do without any of
the
ones I have. My bills get high sometimes but my mother once told me,
"my
mother raised 9 kids during the depression, I have faith that you can
raise
9 cats in better times." It has been true. By the grace of God and my
perpetual budgeting, they get what they need.
9 sounds like a lot but each one is so precious that I !
can't imagine life
without any one of them.
