yup you should... use any kind of thermometer does not have to be specifically
a for anal. I just use a digital beep when its done one. use some k-y jelly
and the only thing you have to worry about is him staying still you don't want
to jab his inside with it. sometimes they (their muscles) resist so go gentle,
make sure its in maybe a half inch, if its just the tip it won't read
correctly. Normal is about 100 - 102.5. if your thermom doesn't beep whenits
done we just wait till it doesn't go up for a sec that go fast whenthey have a
fever.
If he has a fever you can gice SQ fluids but don't without checking with the
vet first, sometimes cats have underlying issues that the fluidds will make
worse and you will need a dose based on that and his weight. if not fluids you
can put alcohol on the pads of his feet and inside the pinna of his ear and
wipe him down wiht a cool damp washclothe.
