Dear book authors, All chapters (almost) have now been refereed, revised and edited for inclusion in the book. At this point, we want to start a round of proofreading and ask all authors to help out.
The latest version of the book can be found here: http://fenicsproject.org/pub/book/book/book-2011-04-29.pdf Below is a list with suggested proofreading assignments but feel free to read more! A short list of instructions is as follows: - The deadline for the proofreading is Wednesday May 12. If you don't expect to be able to proofread your assigned chapters by then, let us know as soon as possible. Consider that someone else will be working hard to proofread your chapter(s) so please contribute your time to making sure we can deliver the book in the best possible shape! - The task is to proofread the language and formatting (the chapters have already been refereed) but should you find any serious flaws, those should also be reported. - Everything has been spell-checked (using an American dictionary) so look for missing commas, misplaced figures etc. - Check that the authors have references ("callouts") to all floats (figures and tables). - Check for inconsistencies in notation (file notation.pdf in the book repository). - Report typos you find relative to the above version of the book (page number, line number etc). If you should want to submit a patch/bundle, do so against the very latest version of the repository at the time when you submit. The list of assignments follows below.
