I cared about this:
majorana:~ maurini$ echo $CC $CXX
/opt/local/bin/gcc-mp-4.8 /opt/local/bin/g++-mp-4.8
The strange thing is that I have the same problem if I deactivate macport's
libraries and I use the binary of fenics-dev given in the FEniCS website.
