Hi again, Thank you! I have now done the following:
1. Recompiled UFC with the present SWIG by first removing the "build" directory in the FFC source directory and again running python setup.py install. 2. Configured VTK6 with shared libs enabled and installed it. 3. Removed the CMake cache for Trilinos and rebuilt it. Now running Dorsal with sid.package the build finally finished! However, whenever I now run any DOLFIN code I get: --------------------------------------------------- DOLFIN runtime dependency is not met. Install the following python module: 'ffc' and make sure its location is listed in PYTHONPATH. --------------------------------------------------- But as Dorsal stated I have run the following command to update my environment variables: source /home/wensby/Work/FEniCS/share/fenics/fenics.conf I inspected the location that fenics.conf specifies for PYTHONPATH and find the ffc directory there! So I'm guessing I'm not setting the environment variables correctly. I also tried adding the command above at the end of .bashrc but it didn't help. I saw this problem in another FEniCS support thread and there you recommended the command below to see if the python-ffc package installed dpkg -l | grep python-ffc Running this doesn't find anything, but maybe this isn't even relevant in my situation. Was there a problem when I installed FFC?
