I see what you mean now.
No, I did not install the packages as described in the rhel6.platform file.
The machine that I am using is a production machine.
I can't install in the system part of the machines.
I would like first to install n the user's space.
Most of the packages are actually already installed but in other places and we 
use
module to set up the environment.
Should I change system, so that I can write in the system parts as prescribed ?
Let me know what to do.

The blas is available and made visible through the modules.
Which instructions are you referring to ?
