Ok, you should have got the following if the FEniCS PPA had been
enabled correctly:
$ apt-cache policy fenics
fenics:
Installed: 1:1.5.0.1~ppa2~precise1
Candidate: 1:1.5.0.1~ppa2~precise1
Version table:
*** 1:1.5.0.1~ppa2~precise1 0
500 http://ppa.launchpad.net/fenics-packages/fenics/ubuntu/
precise/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
1:1.0.0-1 0
500 http://no.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe amd64 Packages
Try to remove any FEniCS PPA related sources in
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/ by running:
sudo rm -f /etc/apt/sources.list.d/fenics-packages*
Then add the FEniCS PPA again and install the packages (hopefully the
latest version):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:fenics-packages/fenics
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install fenics
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Let me know how that works for you.
Johannes
