Hi, I am having some issues with FEniCS on a CentOS 6.6 system. I have installed it from source using the hashdist method. It appears to work properly with simple test scripts, but running an MPI job causes a massive slowdown.
For example, it is significantly slower to run test scripts via MPI on the CentOS system than it is on an Ubuntu system. A script that takes 30+ seconds on CentOS will take around 1 second on the Ubuntu system. The hardware is roughly comparable, though the CentOS system is AMD Opteron based. I have tried recompiling OpenMPI and using the latest version of OpenMPI, but the results are roughly the same. Any ideas where things have gone wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jon
