I have no strong feelings about the naming. That said, I was reluctant naming it ode as it can be used to solve PDEs too. What the module provides is a general multistage based time discretization method, which can be used to solve both ODEs and potentially also PDEs. The latter is still experimentally as the BC are probably not correctly handled.
