The CGAL dependency and mesh generation have now been removed in DOLFIN (next branch, merging into master tomorrow if buildbots agree).
The functionality (and the CGAL dependency) have been moved to the new project mshr that Benjamin Kehlet has been working on for some time. The previous functionality has been preserved, expanded and improved.
