I have updated http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~chak/haskell/ffi.ps.gz to reflect the recent discussion. It seems so far that the best time to meet at ICFP to discuss the FFI is Tuesday evening. Moreover, Ralf gave us a 10 minute slot at the Haskell Workshop for the FFI. My plan would be to briefly outline where we are to get a discussion going with a wider audience.
