commit b02fa6b7cdbbcf1ca14ad15b25c6fffb55bb1b8d Author: Lynne <[email protected]> AuthorDate: Mon Aug 17 00:50:44 2026 +0900 Commit: Lynne <[email protected]> CommitDate: Mon Aug 17 14:57:08 2026 +0900 vulkan_decode: prefer DISTINCT-mode references when a driver offers both When both DPB modes are supported, the choice is up to the application. COINCIDE was picked, but it forces DPB usage onto every user-visible output image, costing compression on several drivers, and keeps references alive as full frames. With references pooled internally as queue-exclusive, single-usage images, DISTINCT is the better default. --- libavcodec/vulkan_decode.c | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/libavcodec/vulkan_decode.c b/libavcodec/vulkan_decode.c index bf33935cbf..b954c78250 100644 --- a/libavcodec/vulkan_decode.c +++ b/libavcodec/vulkan_decode.c @@ -994,7 +994,7 @@ static int vulkan_decode_get_profile(AVCodecContext *avctx, AVBufferRef *frames_ return AVERROR_EXTERNAL; } - dec->dedicated_dpb = !(dec_caps->flags & VK_VIDEO_DECODE_CAPABILITY_DPB_AND_OUTPUT_COINCIDE_BIT_KHR); + dec->dedicated_dpb = !!(dec_caps->flags & VK_VIDEO_DECODE_CAPABILITY_DPB_AND_OUTPUT_DISTINCT_BIT_KHR); ctx->common.layered_dpb = !dec->dedicated_dpb ? 0 : !(caps->flags & VK_VIDEO_CAPABILITY_SEPARATE_REFERENCE_IMAGES_BIT_KHR); -- To stop receiving notification emails like this one, please contact [email protected]. _______________________________________________ ffmpeg-cvslog mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected]
