Invalid reasoning. Absolute rotations give those issues.

These issues can easily be avoided by keeping the pitch angle in the -89 to +89 range, for example.

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not against relative rotations. If you need relative rotations for your application, feel free to use them. But please don't break absolute rotations. Let the user decide which kind of rotations he prefers. There are applications where absolute rotations are required.

If an option gets a different meaning, then it should also get a new name. Using the same name for two different things is counter-intuitive.
