I don't know if this is related at all but FFmpeg (also) detects Dolby-E as S302, see http://samples.ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-bugs/trac/ticket3890/ Completely independent of a decoder, I believe it is very bad that Dolby-E leads to white noise because it is misdetected.
