Hi Michael, The current webp decoder does not support animated, only webp stills. It has been a pretty long standing feature request (#4907).
Although it adds dependency of the libwebp decoder library, libwebp itself is already a dependency of the encoder. I feel it’s simpler this way. I don’t know if there is ongoing work about this, I’m pretty new to the project.
