This sample originates from an Hikvision CCTV camera from around 2008. Hikvision CCTV makes slice data partitioning a core feature of their encoding still today.
Happy to purchase a camera and craft my own real samples in the future. But my opinion is that the JM samples and this camera content are sufficient to justify this enhancement.
