Since a8968b1425 the `build` and `check` targets depend on `devprogs`, but no rule defines that target, so both stop at once: ``` make: *** No rule to make target 'devprogs', needed by 'build'. Stop. ``` This defines `devprogs` the same way as `testprogs`, from each library's `DEVPROGS`, and adds it to `.PHONY`. Tested on master af25036ac0, configured with `--disable-doc --disable-everything --disable-programs`: - Without the patch, `make build` fails with the error above. - With the patch, `make devprogs` builds `libswscale/uops_macros_gen`, and `make -n build` and `make -n check` resolve all their targets. >From 56ed2b4feb1f0df5b656d68450674a7c10326244 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: lusoris <[email protected]> Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2026 23:01:41 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] ffbuild/library.mak: add the devprogs target Commit a8968b1425 made the build and check targets depend on devprogs, but no rule defines devprogs, so make build and make check stop with "No rule to make target 'devprogs'".
