Ok. So, how can I check that the resulting file actually has missing AAC extradata, despite ffmpeg not complaining about it when fed with the output file? The sample rate is definitely there in the output file, so ffmpeg might be just reconstructing it from the other data it has:
Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: aac (LC), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp (default)
