It is the same code than in ffmpeg.c, but I must admit I did not take time to really understand how side data ownership is handled. I suspect the best course of action would be to wait for Roger's patch to be applied, it should fix this very issue at the same time, and applying this patch or Bela's latest version would only annoy him with rebase conflicts.
