Fine of course, but honestly, who cares?

I'd prefer not to see such superfluous, minor patches increasing mailing
list and git log noise.

If you want to pursue these that is fine with me, but I don't think
anyone else should need to spend time reviewing and/or pushing them. In
other words, if you want to make such minor changes, please just do so
and push, but if you don't feel comfortable doing that then maybe make
a bigger patch consolidating a number of such changes.
