Jan Knutar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> added the comment: mencoder also does 3+ pass where the first pass is done as normal, but further passes also record a logfile, thus you can run it as many times as you want, and it will iteratively "improve" on the previous pass. This is not the same as mencoder's audio-only first pass followed by normal 2-pass encode.
