learn it! > also i'm unclear on current , > functionality so i can't document it either. for 1 pass BT specifies how hard the RC code should try to achive CBR for 2 pass BT specifies how hard the RC code should try to follow the ideal calculated bitrate curve. a very small value is always a very bad idea and if you want 1 pass VBR BT should be large. Also BT is not usefull as strict limiter, max/min bitrate and the VBV buffer size are there for that. now you can document it! (after tesiting and confirming that what i wrote from memory is correct) PS: BT is in bits not bits/sec [...] -- Michael GnuPG fingerprint: 9FF2128B147EF6730BADF133611EC787040B0FAB I know you won't believe me, but the highest form of Human Excellence is to question oneself and others. -- Socrates ______________________________________________________ FFmpeg issue tracker <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <https://roundup.mplayerhq.hu/roundup/ffmpeg/issue543> ______________________________________________________
