Roundup replaced my bug with a random message again:
ffmpeg currently reads frames from the input at EOF until it doesn't 
get one, and then quits. This means that a codec could decode a 
buffered top field, return NULL, and then ffmpeg would quit before 
reading the rest of the frames. Frame threading makes this happen more 
often (if it ever happens otherwise) so I'll look at it, but I can't 
assign things to myself.
