Paolo Ceroni <[email protected]> added the comment: Ffmpeg posted K Kitchen on the hall of shame on 05/15/2008
We came came aware of this situation at the end of 2008 following a feedback from a user on MacUpdate stating that the software was violating the GPL license. Since then we have taken actions in order to solve the problem making sure that K Kitchen was correctly using the GPL license. Following the steps taken by Kandalu Software Ltd. 1) We have taken KVideoBurn out from the K Kitchen bundle and made it a free of charge software, hence uploading on the server the source: 2) http://kandalu.net/products/kvideoburn/download/source/video.zip 3) We received communication that the FFmpeg source we were rightly using was not available nor to be seen when downloading. 4) We created a link: http://www.kandalu.net/products/kvideoburn/download/source/ffmpeg-10000.zip to the Ffmpeg source. 5) After reading the GPL license we have changed KVideoBurn’s license according to GPL terms of use. 6) An error in uploading the file (Ffmpeg source) was detected and immediately corrected. 7) KVideoBurn now uses the correct version of Ffmpeg: version SVN-r10000.
