I really think we should focus our efforts with FFmpeg violations only. If it goes to a legal matter we have a much better standpoint as copyright owners. What I think is a reasonable amount of work for us is to inform the other software authors about our findings. Then they can enforce whatever they seem apropriate. If you as a user want to exercise you rights under the GPL feel free to do that but I strongly oppose that FFmpeg as project should demand that.
