Hello. This is Biennesoft. I am sorry if I did anything wrong and hope to fix
it.

I am updating the version of FFmpeg in my YouTube Downloader and found this bug.
 I want to do the right thing and I hope you can help me fix this bug. I have
put a link to FFmpeg.org and the FFmpeg source code for my version on my web
site today: http://youtubedownload.altervista.org

I read http://ffmpeg.org/legal.html and the LGPL, GPL, and FAQs. I am using GPL
since I do not sell my program, do not link to the library, and only run the
static link ffmpeg.exe from my program. I hope I am doing this right.

If I do these changes will this close this bug? I ask because I use GPL and the
legal.html only talks about LGPL.

1) Program "About" box

"YouTube Downloader uses FFmpeg version SVN-r$Version from the <a
href="http://ffmpeg.org";>FFmpeg project</a> under the <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html";>GNU General Public
License version 2 (GPLv2)</a>. FFmpeg source code for this version is available
at http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/src/ffmpeg-r$Version.zip";

Do I need to include the text of GPLv2 here or is the link enough?

2) web site
2a) Add to pages with download buttons
- http://youtubedownload.altervista.org
- http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/download.htm

"YouTube Downloader uses code of <a href=http://ffmpeg.org>FFmpeg</a> licensed
under the <a
href="http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-2.0.html";>GPLv2.0</a>  and
its source can be downloaded <a
href="http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/src/ffmpeg-r$Version.zip";>here</a>."

2b) Create ffmpeg-r$Version.zip of source using directions on your legal.html
page

3) YouTube Downloader installer
3a) Change FFmpeg part of license displayed in installer to say

"This software uses FFmpeg version SVN-r$VerNum, Copyright © 2000-2010 the
FFmpeg developers. The FFmpeg project can be found at http://ffmpeg.org.
FFmpeg is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0 (GPLv2) and
its source can be downloaded from
http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/src/ffmpeg-r$VerNum.zip.";

3b) Add text of GPL v2 License to license text displayed in installer

3c) Change in license text "All copyrights are exclusively owned by the
authors." to "All copyrights for FFmpeg and flv player are exclusively owned by
their authors. All copyrights for YouTube Downloader are exclusively owned by
Biennesoft. Biennesoft does not claim any ownership of FFmpeg or flv player."

3d) Add COPYING.GPLv2 file with GPL text installed in YouTube Downloader
application directory

3e) Add LICENSE.txt file installed in YouTube Downloader application directory
with:

"FFmpeg:
------
This software uses FFmpeg version SVN-r$VerNum, Copyright © 2000-2010 the FFmpeg
developers. The FFmpeg project can be found at http://ffmpeg.org. FFmpeg is
licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0 (GPLv2) and its source
can be downloaded from
http://youtubedownload.altervista.org/src/ffmpeg-r$VerNum.zip.

Read the COPYING.GPLv2 file for details."

==========

I hope this will fix this problem. Please tell me if I need to change
something.

Also, is there a FFmpeg logo I can include on my web page or in my About box? I
love FFmpeg and am happy to help make it better known.

Thank you
