Alex Converse <[email protected]> added the comment: Fine grained checks could be added to PCE and DRC decoding. We still wouldn't have full buffer coverage across the decoder. Alternatively the flexible padding scenario discussed earlier this year would make these reads legal and out existing course grained checks would properly identify that we've read too far and exit.
