klossalex <[email protected]> added the comment: I'm seeing similar behavor, but using `-scodec copy' works on my system. It looks like if FFmpeg sees pgssub subtitles, it writes the output to memory instead of to the output file, then writes the file at the end of encoding. If the output file can fit in memory, this is fine. However, this obviously causes FFmpeg to be killed if it uses up all available memory, so I'd say this is a rather serious bug.
