New submission from horvath.agoston <[email protected]>: I was trying to encode the mjpeg my Canon G7 produces into h264 using
x264 0.100.1659 (git57b2e56) ffmpeg SVN r23844 But all the h264's come out with a gamma too high. I was using mplayer SVN r31581 to decode, and started playing BOTH the original and the h264 version next to each other, stepping through frame by frame. There is a clearly a high gamma in the h264 version encoded by ffmpeg. Command line: ffmpeg -i h264_gamma_too_high.avi -acodec libvorbis -ab 128k -vcodec libx264 -vpre veryslow -crf 21 -threads 0 h264_gamma_too_high.mkv I've attached the verbose output, and uploaded the .avi file to the mplayer ftp. File 'out' not attached - you can download it from https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/file960. ---------- files: out messages: 10987 priority: normal status: new substatus: new title: h264 gamma too high type: bug ________________________________________________ FFmpeg issue tracker <[email protected]> <https://roundup.ffmpeg.org/issue2049> ________________________________________________
