New submission from jidanni <[email protected]>:

We note the 8kb/s below must be wrong. We listen to the mp3 and it sounds
fine. If we really use -ab 8k, it sounds awful.

$ ffmpeg -i S.flv S.mp3
Input #0, flv, from 'S.flv':...
  Duration: 00:04:00.53, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 67 kb/s
    Stream #0.0: Video: flv, yuv420p, 320x240, 59 kb/s, 59.75 tbr, 1k tbn, 1k
tbc
    Stream #0.1: Audio: mp3, 22050 Hz, 2 channels, s16, 8 kb/s
Output #0, mp3, to 'S.mp3':
  Metadata:
    Stream #0.0: Audio: libmp3lame, 22050 Hz, 2 channels, s16, 64 kb/s
Stream mapping:
  Stream #0.1 -> #0.0
