New submission from lemon <[email protected]>:

Hi,

"Hamster Free Video Converter" may violate FFmpeg Licence.

It says "This software uses FFmpeg under GNU GPL v2 licence" on its "About"
window, but there's no description about GPL on license.txt or on its webpage,
nor about its source distribution.

I downloaded "Hamster Free Video Converter" from their official webpage located
at http://videoconverter.hamstersoft.com/ .

The size of setup packege (hamsterfreevideoconverter.exe) was 15.4MB, and its
SHA-1 Hash was B6F3604ECB830B5EE5E1E28F302FD53B4D422983 .

After downloading it, I tried to extract the package with innounp, but I got
single executable file and some DLLs. I thought they may compress some
executable files and libraries into one file.

I'm not sure this software uses a 'custom build' of ffmpeg (violating licence),
or this software is just a 'gateway' to the normal ffmpeg build.

Please give me some advice about this issue. I'm not familier with hacking
software :-)

I attached licence.txt.
